EQUALITY AND ACADEMIC IMPACT

Statistics shows the equality level of participating movie actors have dropped to a low level in recent times. The monopoly in the industry has cropped the standardization and qualities of the performing actors.

The academic barrier of 60% of unqualified performing actors is not over ruled which affected the market value of qualified actors and resulted in the decrease of their participation.

In this view, the peak of Nollywood stars have fallen into the hands of the untrained and unqualified actors who portray themselves as actors without adequate academic knowledge training and proper audition for movie roles, personal terms and conditions agreed and documented.

These academic elapses can be prevented whereby the producer or director should be banned for a period of time to control corrupt practices in the movie industry.
